The Hope block…as in I hope I have the wherewithal to continue this project…

February was the month of love and even though Valentine’s Day has passed, I decided to start with this as my first block in the pattern...in February…but first:

Have you have your Halloween decorations still up? I have taken down about half, mostly those that are visible from the street. I will tackle to ‘indoors’ ones later this weekend. I do think I will leave some of them up a bit longer, like my Halloween quilt, the pillows and the ceramic items. They bring in the so needed splash of color. On Monday I went to a class with visiting Australian tutor, Chris Jurd.  We spent the day making one big 18" Mariner's Compass block.
